Welcome to part 4 of this year's Snippet & Ink gift guide! I think edible gifts are probably one of the most fun - to give and to receive. You can make them yourself, you can share your favorites, and you don't have to worry that the recipient won't wear them. A family friend introduced me to Theo's Bread & Chocolate bar, and you might wonder how that works. It's dark chocolate mixed with little bits of buttery toasted breadcrumbs for crunch, and a bit of salt for contrast. I think I'm not doing it justice, so I recommend trying it for yourself, and then giving one to all the chocolate lovers in your life, for $3.25.

- Two of the sliding puzzles for level 3 clue scrolls were Changed to different pictures (check links for new pics)
- Celtic knot info - To complete this puzzle you must have all the edges of the runes matched with green. To match these runes use the arrows to rotate the colored rectangle until all runes are matched up

We do a lot of thank you parasols but this one's a little different... bride Brittany asked us to add on the date underneath, which we of course were happy to do. You know I can't go too many days without posting a green and white inspiration board! I can't help it! Especially when I see a beautiful photo like the one styled by the lovely, talented Chelsea Fuss - creamy white with a touch of green. I decided to go with a really pale pistachio green to create a soft, clean palette for this wedding board.

This Christmas was one of the best, even though we couldn't be with our families. Christmas Eve I worked and brought in sugar cookies for all of the Nurses and Nurses aids I work with, they were big hit!
Christmas Morning Kyle came home around 9am (he had to sleep on the ship Christmas Eve) and we made huge cinnamon rolls and opened presents on the floor around the Christmas Tree. We got loads of wonderful presents and kyle got me a....drum roll....
A NEW DIGITAL CAMERA!!!
Its a Sony Cyber-shot 8.1 mega pixel camera, and it's PINK!
It will be put to good use when we go skiing next week!

Thank you for all your warm comments and here are some answers to your questions: I shot this video on VHS-C in my backyard, near Ward, Colorado (8,700' elevation) during a blizzard in the late 1990's; a local weatherman said it was the most measureable snow (if memory serves, it was 54" in 48 hours) from the least amount of moisture ever. Our mini-interview this month is with the exceptionally talented Minhee of Paper + Cup. Her darling school-themed wedding was featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, and her lovely, creative stationery designs are all over magazines and the blog world. Today, she's here to share some tidbits about her wedding day with us!
What is the best piece of advice you received about planning your wedding? The entire wedding experience is almost like a big happy blur! I do remember a friend telling me that it's not important that everything gets done perfectly, but what's most important is to enjoy every moment together with Truman [the groom]. It was so easy to get stressed out and overly obsessive about every little detail, but we tried hard to keep each other grounded. After all is said and done, all we are left with is each other. It doesn't matter if the flower girls' dresses are the perfect match to my flowers, napkins and whatnot! We learned to just go with the flow and have fun even when things didn't work out.
Now that your wedding is over, what is the best piece of advice you can give to brides? Planning a wedding shouldn't consume your life for that period of one year, or however long you have. I wish I had more time to enjoy being engaged (we only had a little less than four months!), but in a way it was good for us, because I know how crazy I can get! During our short engagement, I learned to edit very fast and decide on things quickly. One piece of advice I'd share is to pick a theme, and make it a meaningful one. This helps you from getting side-tracked by so many endless options that can really take up so much time and energy.
What is your favorite photo from your wedding and why?
This photo of our nephew Joey and our niece Amanda was taken while everyone was busy mingling outside the tent. I love the expression on Joey's face - it's just pure happiness and you can tell that Amanda is smiling too. It just melts my heart. Kids were a big part of our wedding since we had a vintage school theme, and it was important that they enjoyed it as much as the adults did.

I gave out my sugar cookie-cut outs today at work with the Dels mix I got from home.
My parents called and left me a musical Christms voicemail, it almost made me cry. Not being at home is really hard around Christmas time...Maybe next year.

Title: Christmas Lights Gone Wild
Wow, this thing has really gone crazy with the viewers. Let me first start by saying that this is not my house. Regardless of what any of the comments read, this house really does exist, I have seen it with my own eyes and nothing you see in the video is trickery, it's all real.
This display was the work of Carson Williams, a Mason, Ohio, electrical engineer who spent about three hours sequencing the 88 Light-O-Rama channels that controlled the 16,000 Christmas lights in his annual holiday lighting spectacular (from Christmas 2004). His 2005 display includes over 25,000 lights that he spent nearly two months and $10,000 to hook up. So that the Williams' neighbors aren't disturbed by constant noise, viewers driving by the house are informed by signs to tune in to a signal broadcast over a low-power FM radio station to hear the musical accompaniment.
The rough quality of the video has led some viewers to believe it was put together in stop-action form from still photographs, but that is an artifact of the high compression used in the clip circulated via e-mail. Mr. Williams has posted instructions for recreating his "Wizard in Winter" sequencing, and another of his choreographed Christmas light music shows can be viewed here.
Carson's Christmas display proved so popular that it was featured in a Miller Lite beer commercial in December 2005.
