After we said our vows and exchanged rings, my grandfather pronounced us husband and wife! I love this picture of my grandpa with his hand on our hands. It is a memory that I will cherish forever
"What God has joined together let no one separate!"
You may now kiss the Bride.....
And we're married!!!!!!
After the ceremony we immediately went into my Church's fellowship hall for the Receiving Line. Here are a couple of good shots from Farnum Hall
New Bride and Groom
Me hugging Brian, the best man.
He introduced me and Kyle when we were all 13 years old.
(I was dating Brian at the time ::cough cough::)
My Grandpa Hugging Kyle.....
Me Hugging my good friend from Nursing School, Elise. She moved to NY after Graduation and I moved to CA so needless to say, we don't see each other that often, but we try to talk on the phone every couple of weeks (although I wish it was more) I really miss her a lot, can you tell I am happy to see her?
Me and Mommy!
BIRDSEED!!!!
Originally I didn't think this would even happen considering we did get married in January and it was about 26 degrees outside, but everyone that wanted to pelt us with seeds got to as we ran to the limo, later that night I found birdseed....everywhere....haha
Thanks to my MOH and her Man for stuffing little tool balls of birdseed even the night before,

The I.D.O. studio has been filled with so many pretty things! The first runner is for couple Courtney & Luis who chose to use monogram 13D. The three initial parasol is for couple Jennifer & Kyle. The second runner is for couple Ivy & Colin who chose to use monogram 15A. The bottom two parasols are actually for two different brides who happened to have the same last initial and ordered their single initial parasols in the same font (#8) and color, what a coincidence! Best wishes to all these wonderful couples!

One of my Husband's groomsman (and also a dear friend of mine) Julien, is deployed with a naval ship out of Everett, Washington. He has been gone for awhile and I decided to send him a care package. In it I have put letters, some dried fruit and some of his favorite cookies!
16 tablespoons (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened but cool
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
3 cups old-fashioned oats
1 1/2 cups raisins
Adjust the oven racks to the low and middle positions and heat the oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper or spray them with nonstick cooking spray
Whisk the flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt together in a medium bowl
Either by hand or using an electric mixer, beat the butter on medium speed until creamy. Add the sugars; beat until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in the eggs, one at a time
Stir the dry ingredients unto the butter-sugar mixture with a wooden spoon or large rubber spatula. Stir in the oats and raisins.
Working with a generous tablespoon of dough each time, roll the dough into 2-inch balls and place on baking sheets, spacing them at least 2 inches apart
Bake until cookie edges turn golden brown, 22 to 25 minutes, rotating the baking sheets from front to back and top to bottom halfway through the cooking time. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes. Transfer the cookies with a wide metal spatula to a wire rack. Let cool at least 30 minutes.
Whisk together eggs, brown sugar, vanilla and oil. Add the oatmeal, raisins, and milk. Mix and set aside. In a separate bowl mix together flour, baking soda, nutmeg, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Mix wet ingredients into the dry. Stir until the dry ingredients are just incorporated, do not over mix.
Step 2: Cooking the Pancakes
* 1 tbsp. oil or butter
Turn heat to medium-high and lightly oil your griddle or frying pan. Ladle batter onto griddle keeping in mind that this batter is thicker than regular pancakes and will need to cook longer before flipping. The pancakes are ready to flip when the tops look less wet and shiny. Cook a couple minutes on the other side. Serve immediately with warm maple syrup.

Just keep telling yourself that the raisins make these qualify as a serving of fruit.
To complete this How-To you will need:
Nonstick cooking spray
One and one half sticks unsalted butter at room temperature
One and one half c. light brown sugar
Two eggs at room temperature
Two tsp. vanilla extract
One and one half c. flour
One half tsp. baking soda
One half tsp. salt
One tsp. ground cinnamon
Two and one half c. rolled oats (not quick-cooking)
Three-quarters c. raisins
Two cookie sheets
Two bowls
A whisk
An electric mixer (optional)
Three-quarters c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Step 1: Preheat oven
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, spray the cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 2: Mix butter and sugar
In a large bowl, mix the butter and sugar together with a fork or an electric mixer until it's well mixed and fluffy.
Step 3: Add the egg and vanilla
Add the egg and vanilla and mix well with a whisk or electric mixer to combine.
Step 4: Whisk dry ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Step 5: Finish the batter
Add the flour mixture little by little to the butter and sugar, combining thoroughly before adding more flour mixture. Then, stir in the oats, raisins, and nuts, if using. Mix until just combined.
Step 6: Drop onto cookie sheet
Drop spoonfuls of the batter 2 inches apart on the prepared cookie sheets, and press them down slightly with the back of the spoon. Bake them until they're golden, about 10 to 12 minutes, and let them cool on the cookie sheets before eating.

Okay, on with Part 2 of this year's gift guide! And keep sharing your ideas, too - what are you giving this year, or hoping to get? What
I love to give gifts that are small luxuries - something that a person would probably not buy for herself. Like a $16 bar of soap for example. Claus Porto makes the most delicious smelling shea butter soaps, in even more delicious packaging - I'm not sure I'd want to cover them up with wrapping paper! If you want something a little more classic with a more mild fragrance, try a block of Savon de Marseilles for $12, handmade in the south of France.
Another special gift that smells delightful is the scented talcum powder from Santa Maria Novella. For $40, it is a lovely way to remind someone of a trip to Florence - even if you've never been there.
For your displaced friend from California, how about Melissa Flagg's Clementine perfume roller for $42? Created with the scent of Southern California in mind, it's a favorite of the starlets (or so I've heard). Or maybe a solid perfume would do - for $55, Marc Jacobs is still a favorite of mine.
